New DPM Install Video!!

Click here to see a Time Lapse Video of DPM’s Engineering team in Action. Our engineers were tasked with dismantling a 1998 Komori L540 and Installing a 2005 Ten-Colour Heidelberg Speedmaster.
Having ordered the machine, a 2005 SM102-10PS from DPM, the race was on for our engineers to ensure that L&S Printing Group in Worthing, West Sussex were back in production as quickly as possible... They needn’t have worried...

With DPM’s experienced team of engineers the whole project was completed within a three-week timeframe, and L&S were back in full production on-time. This allowed L&S to meet vital customer deadlines. The time lapse video shows our boys wasting no time in firstly removing the trade-in machine, a 1998 Komori Lithrone L540.

Once space had been cleared for the Speedmaster, the Ten-colour machine arrived on-time, and was installed, commissioned and print-tested to L&S’s satisfaction.

The step up to a Ten-colour long-perfecting press can be a daunting one, but if done correctly the benefits are undeniable: L&S now boast a vastly increased capacity, and perfecting jobs are produced in one pass, in half the time.

The SM102 range can print 64 pages of A4 per second, an amazing 26,000 sides of B1 size sheets per hour. And it’s not just fast, image and colour control is absolutely top of the range. Printed sheets are automatically scanned and compared to the proof or first sheet printed and the colour data is then fed back into the press to ensure colour accuracy and consistency during the run.

Having purchased from one of Europe’s foremost suppliers of used equipment, L&S have saved a significant amount of money compared with the price of a new press. (Typical savings are around £500,000 on the price of new Ten-colour machines.). Despite the fantastic price, L&S were still afforded the comfort of a full no-quibble parts and labour warranty from a company with a team of in-house engineers.
