Limetree Offset Installs GW Guillotine from DPM

The product was supplied and installed by DPM, Westerham, Kent, well known as a supplier of used presses, and now GW guillotine products.

DPM announced details of its relationship with GW guillotines at the recent IPEX show, and Limetree Offset represents one of the company's first UK installations of the K92CD programmatic model.

Commenting on the choice of the GW product, Limetree director Gavin Milton said: "We needed a replacement for a very old guillotine that we had been using since the creation of this business. We went to see the GW in action at a print business in the east of the country, and it certainly appeared to do everything that we needed, and more. Price is always an important issue in any equipment purchase, and when we compared the GW price with the rest of the market that made up our minds."

The product represents a significant advance in cutting technology at Limetree Offset. "The programmable capability of the GW product is quite a step forward from where we were," said Gavin Milton. "It is a tremendous advantage in terms of productivity."

GW guillotine products are assembled in China from internationally sourced components. The Chinese company was founded back in 1993 and has since become one of the top guillotine manufacturers in the country. The product range has rapidly expanded and GW (Guowang) now offers a full range of programmable guillotines, three-knife trimmers, joggers, lifters and ancillary equipment. Products are fully accredited to TUV, ISO and CE safety standards. Following a 10 million Euro investment, GW manufactures its products at a recently completed 28,000 square metre state-of-the-art facility.

GW guillotines are available in a range of sizes from 78 through to 176 cm, and feature high resolution LCD touch displays, interactive programming systems, high speed back gauge control, remote programming and monitoring options, CIP4 compatibility, rapid knife change capability, and up to 45 cuts per minute.
